Privacy Policy for Chess Dungeons
Last updated: July 2026
Chess Dungeons is a free puzzle game. This page explains what data the app collects and how it is used. We kept this short on purpose, because the honest answer is short.
- Chess Dungeons is free. There are no ads.
- There is nothing to buy in the app. No in-app purchases.
- There is no account, no sign-up, and no login.
- We collect anonymous gameplay analytics only, and we cannot tell who you are from them.
What we collect
The app sends anonymous, device-level gameplay events to PostHog, an analytics service, so we can see which levels are too hard, which features get used, and where players get stuck. Typical events include things like a level starting, a level finishing (win, loss, or quit), how many moves it took, and which booster was used. These events are tied to a random device identifier that PostHog generates. We never collect your name, email address, or any other personal information, so there is nothing to link these events back to.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or anything else on your device. There are no ads in the app, so we have no reason to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
Accounts and cloud save
Chess Dungeons does not have accounts, sign-in, or cloud save. Your progress (stars, coins, unlocked worlds) is stored only on your device. If you delete the app, that progress is gone, and we have no copy of it because we never received it.
Ads and purchases
This version of Chess Dungeons has no advertising and nothing to purchase. If that ever changes in a future update, we will update this policy first and make the change clear in the app itself.
Children
Chess Dungeons is not directed at children. It does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
